String Trimmers

I purchased my 223L about a year ago for residential seasonal use (4-5 months of the year for an average of 30mins every 2 weeks). The pull starter on the trimmer will now not retract. The pull start on the 223L is a very poor design (plastic parts with metal springs). Are there any other options to replace this poor design? I could understand this failure if the trimmer was hard (requiring many pulls) to start but this trimmer starts like a dream (on an average one to two pulls to start).

I am VERY disappointed with my 223L at this time and wanted to contact Husqvarna directly with my issue but can't find an email. Any suggestions?
