Walk Behind Lawn Mowers

We live in the Washington, DC area. This winter storage in our garage is difficult as we are renovating. I am thinking about purchasing a lawn mower cover for our walk behind mower and storing it under our deck. Will it be ok under the deck covered? We have winterized it today. I just don't want to have it not be successfully stored - we purchased it this past July. Thanks in advance.
