    Question:
Problem sharpening PLN3516F electric chainsaw. The manual does not address this that I can find. I am not able to easily pull the chain forward to get to all the teeth for sharpening like I can with my 2 gas saws. Is there a way to release the electric motor so the chain will spin freely or am I going to have to pull the chain really hard to sharpen it? I don't want to damage the saw.

The chain on this unit will need to be pulled through the unit with some degree of force due to the resistance from the motor. Just make sure the blade brake is off. Hope this helps.
