    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 22Y46 that is less than 2 years old. It never starts the first time I attempt to start it. Then it acts like the battery doesn't have enough charge to start the engine. I have to let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes and then it will usually start. It started doing this last season intermittently.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm guessing it is the battery.
    Thanks
    Bill

Haven't heard of a 22Y46. Most likely you have a Briggs OHV V-twin engine being it is 22hp mower. On these the valves need adjusting every so often or the engine's decompression system no longer works. At that time the starter can no longer come the engine's high compression and it stalls out.

Thanks Eugene, but should I need to adjust the valves after only 33 hours of use?

Normally you shouldn't but not all engine wear the same and I have seen a push rod to literally fall out with less than 50 hrs of use. Don't happen very often but it does happen. I even seen a cam lobe worn nearly round on one engine that had only 75 hrs on it and no matter how well the valve was adjusted it did work right.

The normally they are check at 100hrs; unless, performance problems are noticed before then. Here in my shop I check every engine that I haven't serviced before and find about 90% of them needs adjusting; most with valve clearances nearly doubled from the factory specs.
