    Question:
I have a YTH2348 with less than 500 hours and the mounting ears on BOTH sides of the frame are BROKEN and CRACKED!!! I have been really happy with it, and bragged on it till now. I am not heavy, 150 lbs., and threat it kindly and clean it after every use. Looking on the forum I see this is a common problem. Is there any recall for this design flaw and fix for it? Thanks

Husqvarna really should redesign and beef that rear mounting plate.

One of the following repair kits should be what you need.

There are two different kits to fix the problem depending on whether you have a vertical or slopped draw bar.  The way to tell is to look where your trailer hitch is, if the frame is straight up and down you have the vertical, if it goes up at an angle it is the slopped.  These kits are designed for mowers whose model number starts with 960410xxx or 960510xxx.  Your dealer can verify with Husqvarna tech support also. Through these are reference to the LGT series they should work on the YTH as the frame basically the same design.

Vertical Draw Bar - Service Bulletin #B1100078 - Kit #532437498

Slopped Draw Bar - Service Bulletin #B1100077 - Kit #532437497

Here is a picture what the Vertical Draw Bar kit looks like.

Can be order through your local dealer or if you google the part number online cost around $27.00 plus shipping.

As installation most likely it will at what the shop rate is for labor to install the repair items but the local what the their policy is on this. As for my shop since I am an independent shop I probably would charge 2 or 3 hours of labor to install. Just depends how prep work got to be done.
