    Question:
My 240 Chainsaw won't oil the bar, but leaks all over the floor.Hi
It was brand new last year, only used to cut one bundle of slab wood.
While it is sitting,I see a puddle of oil form underneath. Also while I am cutting, the blade will only stay tight for 15mins or so then i have to stop to tighten it.

So I took it all apart again, under the oil guide plate, underneath the right side chain tightening stud, there is a hole that the oil drips very quickly out of when i hold the saw on its side.

I have cleaned the bar completely with a utility knife, the bar is completely free. When i am cutting after 2 mins there is a puddle of oil on my feet, but none whatsoever in the bar.

I only see that flat metal guide plate, is there any other way to get this to work? I bought a huskie so i wouldn't have to deal with maintenance like a craftsman every time you use it.

Does anyone from this answer army I read about have any sort of opinion on this? I made this same post over a week ago with 0 replies.
