    Question:
I have a 576xp husqvarna chain saw 28" bar the saw was bought in feb. of this year the problem that I am having with it is that it will not start, the last time that it ran and quit it was more than half way though the tank it just died, when the gas tank was opened it was under pressure ( it popped when opened) after that the saw would not start (the saw is getting fuel and spark ) The saw has had less than 8 fills on the tank we run two other husqvarna saw ( 350 & 455 ) on the same fuel and have no problems with them in the last 10 years of use. Thanks for the question. From what you stated sounds like it is getting hot inside the tank. Gas boiling. First need to use at least 89 octane fuel and a jaso certified oil in it. Second I would say take to your nearest dealer and have them check it over might have a carb issue now with it. Have them check out out and give us a call on it and we will go from there.

Thanks again and have a great day

Got the saw back from the dealer and they told us that we had ran straight gas in the saw, they showed us gas they go from somewhere with crap in it, so we brought the saw home and drained the gas from the tank and it had all kinds of crap in the tank. We emptied the other saws to see what was in the tank and found nothing, so we dissambled the motor and found that the piston is scored ( only on the exhaust side of the piston ) looks like it has been overheated. When the problem started it was 80 deg out side cutting a 50" log, since then we have ran 2 tanks of gas in the saw and now it won't run at all that's why it went to the dealer and it won't go back ever again. Is there anyway I can get ahold of Husqvarna directly to find out about the saw. Thanks for you help. Charles
