    Question:
I have an LGT2554 and the steering alignment has been tow out since I bought the mower. I thought this was a little strange but disregarded it since there are no adjusters.

Turn radius is more important since we planted a lot of trees and the tractor cannot manage the specified 18" turn radius. The tractor warranty expires before the end of this mowing season so I need to take care of this in short order.

    How should I proceed?
    Details:
I am an engineer (professional motorsport) and know a little about steering geometry. I measured the toe-out at the wheel rims, approximately 24.125" and 24.5", giving around 0.375" of tow-out or perhaps a shade more.

There is no visible damage to the steering system components (gear plate, draglinks, axle, spindles, etc...) nor the wheels other than regular wear and tear. The only unusual observation is that some of the draglink powder coating has been rubbed away by the tyre, presumably because the wheels are tow-out.

       Hi Rade,

Take the machine to a Husq. authorized service center to have the adjustable drag links installed.  We will cover this under warranty and long as there are no signs of impacts to the wheels.

I was able to purchase the adjustable drag links. It should be an easy install but the links were a little on the long side. I have them installed at the limits of their adjustment with barely any toe in. If I need any more adjustment in the future, I'll have to cut them and rethread the ends at the steering plate. Good luck!
