    Question:
I have a fairly new 223L string trimmer. Worked fine for about a month. Now the string nearly constantly feeds out and gets chopped off. Doesn't seem like the head is stuck--it pushes up and down fine. Doesn't do it all the time--just most of the time. String is on correctly, so is the head. What's wrong?

Sounds like the loading spring might be missing or there is damage to trimmer head itself. Probably will require trimmer head replacement as most of the trimmer heads as sold only as complete units due their relative low cost and are a consumable item .

I have the same problem.  Just started happening after working fine for a month and a half.  How do I get a trimmer head replacement?
