    Question:
I have a new 455Rancher and am confused by conflicting data that I have found on sharpening an H80 chain. The data sheet that came with the H80 chain shows a picture of a combination tool that is supposed to be used for setting the depth gauge and as asharpening tool/guide. I did not receive one with my chainsaw and no tool comes with the extra chain that I purchased. I purchase both at Lowes and they no nothing about these tools. So, where can I obtain these tools. The second problem shows up in the manual that came with my 455Rancher. Page 40 covers Saw hain filing and file gauges. This shows that there are no depth gauges or sharpening tool/guides for the H80 chain. Pg 40 also shows three angles for the process and they are 60, 25 and 10 degrees. The files shown with these angles also don't make any sense. A flat file is shown for use in sharpening the cutting tooth and around file is shown for cutting an unexplained part at 10 degrees. Please HELP!!!!!

    Hi Richard

Thanks for contacting the Answer Army to post your questions.

Below is a video that will fully describe the process for sharpening your chainsaw blade:

The part number for the complete file kit for this unit is 505968191. This includes the file handle, combination gauge (file guide and depth gauge in one) 2 round files, and one flat file for the depth gauge.

Thanks again from the Husqvarna Technical Services Team.
