    Question:
    Self-propel always engaged

I have a Husqvarna HU700F that is 2 years old. I recently had an experience where I hit a tree root and broke the blade adapter. I replaced the blade adapter and bought a new blade, but since then I have an issue where the self-propel is ALWAYS driving the wheels, even without pulling on the lever. I have tried loosening the cable for the self propel lever. I know I loosened it, because there is now a lot of play left in the lever. However, it did not solve the problem. If I have the mower on and lift up the back wheels, they spin even without the lever being pulled.

This is only really frustrating because it means I can't roll the mower backward while mowing, which is something I apparently do a lot. The wheels are locked so they'll only move forward. This causes problems when the ground it a bit soft/wet and I end up tearing the grass.

    Any help is appreciated
