    Question:
I have a 3 1/2 year old YTH2246. It has never been abused and only mows flat lands. After only 248.6 hrs of use, I am told that the hydrostatic transmission quit working, no forward or reverse, replaced the drive belt to no avail. Talked to local dealer as well as tech support on line, no help other than it will cost approximately $900 to repair. My question, i want to know why a machine I paid $2000 for isn't worth the powder it would take to blow it to hell. I can't afford to spend $2000 on a mower and less than 3 mowing season the *** mower sh___'s to bed. Why shouldn't i post on utube, facebook and any other media what a piece of crap this lawnmower really is.

Thank you for contacting the Answer Army.

Sorry you are having difficulties with your mower.

The Tuff Torq transmission in this mower is very reliable. 250 hours with 3.5 years of use seems a little excessive for residential only use. Are you using this mower commercially? Are you towing a trailor behind the mower?

Warranty is a defect in material or workmanship within the specified time period. This mower has a 2 year residential use warranty. No commercial use warranty on this unit.

For goodwill consideration you will need to contact Tuff Torq Corp at 866-572-3441 customer service OR

Well michael i also have Husqvarna Yth 2246 with 245 hrs. yesterday had the same problem you encountered. ispent this morming checking it out and it seems like the problem is in this transmission also. I have to guess acording to doug P s answer most owners dont have as many hours on this model yet. I think husqvarna should stick to chain saws.
