    Question:
I have just set up my hu700l mower. I set all four wheels on the center tab of the 5 tabs available. The rear of the mower is 1/2 inch higher then the front. Is this height difference normal ?

    David,

These are set from the factory and the holes that the adjuster sits in is factory milled into the base of the mower deck. Now, all mower decks should not be completely level, the rear end should be up about 3/8" higher than the front. This is needed to create a vacuum which will help mulch/bag your clippings. All we can offer is t lower the front one space and raise the rear one space if you need it to be completely flat, but you may end up with more clippings than if you left the deck leveled the way it is.

    I hope this helps.

       Greg,

Thanks for the answer. Upon remeasuring it appears to be closer to the 3/8" you indicated above. The mowers I have purchased in the past appeared to be level. I wanted to make sure this was the proper arrangement.  I will use the mower and see how it performs.

      Thanks Again,

      David Z
