    Question:
I have an RZ5424 Zero turn mower. I changed the oil when the meter indicated it was time to do so however, I am receiving a constant "change oil now" message at the meter. I have 5 hours on the motor since the oil change. How do I reset the meter? I was told by a service tech it would reset itself after a couple hours - that didn't happen. HELP!
    Thanks

I have the same problem with a 5225 with 114 hrs. It's been flashing since 50 hrs. I disconnected the battery and that didn't even turn off the hr meter. Dealer service said look in the manual. This is my 1st post. Did anyone answer Randy and I don't get to read it or didn't anyone have an answer?

The hour meter displays the total operating time with the blade activated.

The display on the hour meter will turn on the oil can icon after every fty hours of use and will stay on
for two hours or until the meter is manually reset. To manually reset the timer, turn the ignition key to the run position and then engage and disengage the blade switch ve times at one second intervals.
      this is for a mz5225.

Will the procedure mentioned by Chad work for RX5424?
