    Question:
I have a Poulan Pro PPB335 trimmer and the recoil starter is the poorest design ever I have had to replace the spring (part # 545008013) 3 times and now the end of the crankshaft has broke off. I purchased this trimmer 4/2010 and it never work right from day one Walmart replaced it once but no longer carry this model. The reason I purchased this model was I could switch out the trimming head to other attachments that I purchased separately like the tiller. When I call the 800# they refer me back to the place of purchase. How do I get Poulan to stand behind their product?

      Thank you for contacting AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had these problems, and yes Poulan honors failures that are determined to be of warrantable nature.

You can find your local Poulan dealers for sales and service as well as manuals and a place to order parts using the link provided http://www.poulan.com choose the appropriate link at the bottom of the page.

Service Locator  (Canadian customers use postal code no spacing)
      Contact Us
      Download Manuals
Order Parts (This is a third party company not Poulan)  or can contact local dealer.

Your local dealer is your best and fastest source of information.

For warranty consideration you should present the unit and your original dated sales receipt to the servicing dealer as well as the problem must be of a warrantable nature (a defect in materials or workmanship), incorrect or old fuel, impact damage, incorrect storage are examples of non warranty. All warranty service must be completed by servicing dealer.

I now look for  trimmer and choice beetwen Poulan Pro 966774301  and Tro Bilt after this reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt replies to this forum from representatives Poulan Pro, so my choice is clear. My last trimmer was a 26cc 2-cycle Ryobi that was lightly used for less than two summers and then decided not to turn on again
