Possible replace tool-less chain tensioner on PP4218AVX with a traditional system?
I have a PP4218AVX chainsaw, the tool-less chain tensioner is no longer holding the proper tension on the chain.
My understanding is that Poulan has a conversion kit to change the tool-less tension system to a traditional two nut + wrench system. My problem is that I can't order the kit because I can't determine a part number for the conversion kit. Does anyone know the part number for the kit, assuming it exists?
Poulan customer support (telephone) told me that I had to call my local dealer to get a part number.
The exploded parts diagram on ordertree.com does not list the conversion kit.
My local dealer can not order the parts for me because they can't find a part number for the kit.
