    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 445 XTORQ. it is only about two years old.
I was cutting wood and unfortunately I was having so much fun that I let it run out of fuel. So I it with fuel and now it starts OK, but it will not keep going.
I was wondering if there was something in these modern saws that electronically tripped and needs resetting??
It acts as if it is not getting fuel?? Thanks in advance.

Chances are, you sucked up too much air into the carb. Try doing thid first, BEFORE you do anything else. PRIME the saw at least 15 times. I know that sounds like alot, but believe me, it should help. With that done, Do NOT choke it. Just turn on the kill switch, HOLD the throttle full open and pull it over about 4 or 5 times. It should fire then. If it doesn't stay running, pull and discard the plug and get a new one ready. With the plug out and the kill switch OFF, pull the saw over 6 or 7 times. Install the new plug. I strongly recommend a Champion CJ8. After all is done, try starting normaly.

If this doesn't work, chances are the carb is fouled and you will either need to rebuild it OR replace it.
