    when cutting smaller trees cuts fine when cutting large peices pulls hard to the right hard enough that the bar gets stuck

    There are two good possibilities, the chain could be sharper on one side, or the bar may be bent.

    I would not hesitate seeking a service technician that is experienced in servicing saws.  Also, the servicing dealer would be able look over the saw for any other possibilities.  Lastly, depending on your saw model and the size of the larger tree may also provide an explanation.
