    Question:
I saw a previous post regarding a knocking/rattling sound in the engine of a 150BT blower. The response was that this could possibly be caused by low octane fuel mix. What if I am already using a pre-mix can fuel with a 92 octane rating? Do I need to go higher? I am experiencing the same sound.

      George,

I had a similar problem with my backpack blower, and its definitely fuel/ carburetor related. However, It may be a simple as replacing the fuel filter inside the fuel tank. That is what I found was causing my problem, so I would definitely suggest changing the fuel filter, they are very reasonable, and its easy to pull the fuel filter out of the tank and attach a new one, just make sure you use the recommended fuel filter size.

I hope this helps, If you need any additional help Please give me a shout.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It is certainly worth a shot and will try the fuel filter.   Thank you.
