Question:
hi
i have a rotary lawn mower, model 917.375363
s/n 070605M010031, i believe the unit is 6 or 7 year old.
it's used twice a month between April and October than only once a month during the off season. my problem is the deck which holds the right rear wheel is rotting out . The engine itself is in excellent condition. I change the oil once , a year. i assume the cost of the deck is as much as a new machine. what can i do? i would hate dump this in the trash and have to purchase a new machine. when the mower is not in use it's kept in a storage shed. the only way to have this repaired is to go to a machine shop and have a piece of metal welded to the deck. again the cost would be 2/3rds the cost of a new machine. i would like to know if Husqvarna stands behind this problem or do i have to climb the government ladder of consumer affairs?
thank you
