    Question:
I have a M-ZT52 that was purchased Spring of 2015. This year when I mow the Lawn Mower starts up initially as expected. But if I turn the mower off during mowing, then attempt to restart the mower. The mower will not turn over and will not start for a random period of time 5-15minutes. I have confirmed the ignition is receiving power as the PTO will engage and disengage if the key is on the on position. What could be driving the non-starting.

I only seen one mower that did something like this and it had a failing PTO clutch. I could mower with the F525 for 30 minutes but when I shut the engine I couldn't restart it for similar period of time.

You may have a PTO clutch that is partially shorted and drawing just enough current to drain the battery charge and when sits for a while the battery is able to recover enough to restart the engine.

      Just thinking out loud.

I have the same problem with the same mower.  Bought it July of this year.  The mower is a 2016.  Mowes great till I have to come in to get drink or answer a call.  Then just completely dead.   After letting it cool for 10 mins, everything fires up fine. Did you take it back to the dealer where you bought it Brian?  Did they find anything?

I haven't taken it to the local Husq dealer yet (30mins away), I am sure they will tell me I am crazy and nothing is wrong.  I talk to a couple of local guys that fixes mowers, One of them said check the starter solenoid with a volt meter when it happens again. He has seen in the pass that when starter solenoid gets hot and it doesn't carry the current to get the starter to crank.

Now that mowing season is over, I will try to clean all the contacts especially the ground and maybe replace that solenoid and/or make a heat shield around it.

Let me know if you have figured anything out.

jd snow - would agree it has something to due with run time and/or temp.  I have replaced every sensor between the ignition and the solenoid, which seemed to fix the problem at first.  Then it seemed like more a solenoid issue.  I replaced the solenoid but the replacement was a bad unit, so I need to exchange it for a new one.  Everything to me points to the solenoid.
