      Ann,

I just looked at an IPL (Illustrated Parts List) for a 435 x torq, and it looks like its a Non-adjustible oil pump on this model of chainsaw..

If this were an adjustible oiler, you would turn the saw onto the pull cord or starter side of the saw, and just below the clutch/brake  cover and even with the drive sprocket or crank shaft you would see an adjustable screw slot, also imbossed in the plastic you would see a symbol and an arrow indicating which way to turn the screwdriver to make an adjustment.

I would do a double check and look in the area that I described to see if maybe there is an adjustible oiler there but I don't think on this model there is one.

PS. I am Not a Husqvarna Representative or an Authorized Repair, Just an experimental chainsaw person.

hello ann,  as usual karl comes thru with a sound response.  I only have a couple of things to add.

I turn all of my set screws wide open. too much oil on the bar and chain is plenty. if the oiler is made to deliver bookoo oil without an adjustment, then the only way to ensure that your bar is being fed a chugging good diet of oil is to keep the bar tracks and oiler holes perfectly cleaned early and often during the outing.  if you have no access to compressed air, then always have a tiny standard slot screwdriver, and a needle pic.  these tools will defunk the bartrack  and allow oil to enter thru the oiler holes and lube like it means it.

the saw should cut thru an entire tank of fuel before the oil tank runs dry. that is the design and intention.

      good luck and great cutting.
