    Question:
I recently bought a weedeater model FL20C,the first time I used it worked fine. The second time,it would run only on full choke. when turned to half or run,it would stall.I am using a premix 40:1 fuel mixture. any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Dave

I want to apologize for the inconvenience and thank you at the same time for posting your comment with answerarmy.

Your doing the right thing by using premix fuel, this allows me to narrow down the situation of your product.

My recommendation would be to take the product to a Weed Eater Service dealer and have them adjust the Carburetor.

Due to EPA regulations the tool needed for this adjustment is only available to service technicians only.

Altitude and weather changes do affect the operation of the carburetor. I hope this information will be helpful.

Thanks again and have a great day.

      Dear Dave,

Thank you for contacting us at Answer Army, we apologize for these issues you are experiencing.  Sounds like you are experiencing a carburetor issue, often times carburetors are set by the factory to run clean and once the unit breaks in some cases needs to be adjusted.  An authorized service dealer is your best and fastest source of information.  What is your zip code?

      Regards,

      Benji C.

Once again, I took my weedeaterFL20 to a Service dealer, they didnt want to fix it said if I got one season out of it I was lucky. So I am just suppose to buy a new weedeater. they said it was cheap and mass produced. I just want the weedeater i bought to work! The trim mer head heats up and shuts the engine off.

We just bought a Poulan Pro PP428S 4-Cycle  http://jonsguide.org/best-4-cycle-weed-eater/ and have put it to two days work.  Decided to go with the Poulan Pro because of the 4-stroke engine, and because so many guys on a commerical lawn service forum like them as well.So far the Poulan Pro is great. Glad we opted for the steel shaft. Starts easy. We've got a lot of work here (5 acres of pasture and woodlands). It bogged down only slighitly in very tall grass. It cleaned tall weeds out our chain link fence with ease by throttling down to about half RPM.
