Question:
I have a 2014 Husqvarna riding mower, model EBSXS.7242VA with a Briggs & Stratton motor, V-twin 24 HP motor. I live in Colorado, high altitude (6800 ft). If I use the choke to start the mower, it floods and fowls the spark plugs which then have to be cleaned and most of the time, replaced. I was told by Lowe's where I purchased the mower that there are no carburetor jets available for the mower for use in high altitude and the ones in it are for use at a lower altitude (sea level.) Is there anything that can be done? Recommendations?
Answer
The number you have posted is the family class number and not the actual model number of the mower or the engine. To lookup the engine to see what is available I would need the numbers off the valve cover; probably on the right hand side as you stand in front of the mower. They will be format as XXXXXX-XXXX-XX with a date code number. Please post both numbers.

Thanks Eugene,
Here is what I found on the mower: Briggs 24 HP V-Twin, Engine Serial #14- 0602-YG 93455, Model year 2014
EU: e11*97/68SA*2012/46*0877*03 (11)
Does this help? Thanks!

A little...The serial tells me it a 140602YG which was manufactured on June 02, 2014.
but I am needing the info off the valve cover itself for the engine model and type. It going to be something like
445677-0421-G2. The reason is each model has base setup and type number gives the Husqvarna spec setup. From there I can look-up the engine's parts list and see what if there is any high attitude jets available for your particular carburetor.
