Question:
Dear Answer Army,
How to replace the Fuel line in the Gas tank on a Husqvarna 235R Brush Cutter. I dismantled the whole trimmer engine. Found that the tank and the engine mount is all one unit. I found the Gas line and the filter loose (not attached to nothing) in the tank. Don't know how the Gas goes to the carburetor. The carburetor has only a return (overflow) line to the thank.
Was reading the whole manual and searched websites for answers; no luck.
Please help.
Thank you for your time on this matter.
Sincerely,
Walter
Answer
This one will probably take someone familiar with 2 cycle tanks setups to re plumb it. After looking several different versions of this brush cutter some had only a single line and others had two lines. They their access points appears to be under the carburetor area. I haven't personal seen one of these unit so I can't help in that area. As you said you don't see where; it might be just the line is broken off even with tank.
As for actually getting the lines install once you know where they go is fairly easily using the right tools. Most time you would cut taper on the fuel line. Insert a tag wire into the hole you wish to install the line in and out fuel fill hole then attach it to the fuel line. After this you simply pull the line through the hole from inside the tank leaving the required length for the tank and attach the fuel filter to the supply line. I punch a small hole in the tapered section to install the tag wire there for pulling. It might pull out a time of two from the line until you get the the procedure right . Takes doing it a few times to get good at it.

Dear Eugene Rounds,
Thank you very much for your quick responds and answers.
You are right... what I thought is the return line is actually the main fuel line. It goes from the carburetor the bottom of the fuel tank lid and then into the tank with the fuel filter attached (strange).
Thank you very much again for your help. Without your answer, I would not be able to fix the Brush Cutter.
Sincerely,
Walter
