    Question:
My Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw's chain came off. I took the two nuts off the cover. The cover was still hung on the clutch. I pryed it off. Now the cover will not fit back on the clutch because the ring inside the cover is not sliding down over the clutch. Any suggestion?

This is the problem that a lot inexperienced users have. They do not disengage the chain brake before removing the clutch cover and mistakenly force the cover off.

Here is a You Tube Video on how to reset the chain brake.

Also here is the instruction from Husqvarna

If you find too hard to do yourself then I recommend carrying into an dealer shop for them to reset for you. Even I have a hard time resetting these sometimes once they have been tripped.

Please remember once you get this reset to always disengage the chain brake when removing the cover.
