    Question:
I purchased a new carb for the 350 that I had problems with. it now starts with a little encouragement but it won't continue to run. I have adjusted the high and low jets to no avail.

This carb has a 2nd fuel line that is near the left front TOP ,on the adjustment side of carb. this appeared to go directly to the inside throat of the carb out to the manifold, so I assumed it was not needed and must be for a primer bulb model, which mine is not??

I have sealed the end of this "gas line", the regular inlet is as normal, on the lower right rear (as installed), of the carb.Does this affect the operation of the carb?? Or do I need to re-order for the 350? Jerry

I have sealed this inlet pipe. does this affect the proper operation of the carb?

you need to reorder.. its how it pulls the fuel into the carb..

buying a new carb is never the answer to fixing antyhing, unless it was catastrophically damaged for some reason...  now there is a caveat to it, unless husqvarna finally admits they made an error on using a particular carb on a saw.. like a WG2 on a 3120XP (garbage carb and the upgrade to a WG8 brought my saw back to life).  or the 359XP (2003) model walbro was garbage... woudl not idle to save it s life.. upgraded to a later year zama and its alive again.

why did you buy a new carb?

have you checked the compression of the saw?? if you do not have compression or good compression the saw will not run.   it will hit and miss but will NOT run....   take it to an autozone or something like that and have them check it for you (or local saw shop)...

" I have adjusted the high and low jets to no avail."

also, that is normally an indicator of an air leak somewhere.. the intake boot between the carb and the cylinder or a bottom end gasket or crank seal leaking..

a local shop should be able to do a leak test for you.. i would not spend anymore money on parts if you cannot get it to change when adjusting higha nd low speed screws.
