    Question:
Cannot turn off my HU775BBC push mower. I think the throttle cable is not in the right position on the throttle control on the engine. I can't be for certain because I don't remember exactly how it was attached. All the new mowers at Lowes are slightly different so I can't compare them. The only way I could turn it off was to manually push the throttle control forward on the engine to turn it mower off. Now, even that doesn't work and the only way I can turn the engine off now is the unplug the spark plug. The mower is relatively new-ish (about 3 years). Any way to fix this or replace the parts so I can have a fully functional mower again?
    Details:

This is how it was when I noticed I could not turn my engine off using the throttle lever on the mower.

The IPL indicates the that this mower has a Briggs 111P02-0003-F1 on it. Please verify this; if this not the case then following may be incorrect.

The Bracket--Control (Manual Friction, Remote, & Fixed Speed Control) PN 796482 may be damage and needs replacing. This bracket has the engine stop mounted in it and it would need to be transferred to the new bracket. The speed control cable is definitely damaged beyond repair and needs replacing. Its part number is 579 48 42-02 (579484202).
