    Question:
Hello Team, within the last year i overhauled my Husqvarna 3120XP chainsaw. The old cylinder had slide in studs and nuts to attach the muffler Assembly. The new Cylinder is threaded and came with bolts to attach the muffler assembly. I have lost one of the bolts (not thrilled with the new design) and no body (including the selling dealer) can find a part number for the replacement bolts. All parts were OE Husqvarna. Thanks for your time!

Called customer support and they was of no help on this. Recommend removing the remaining screw and check its length and diameter. I know it going be a metric threaded screw.

      Check against these specs

      • Length: 3.61"
      • Diameter: 0.19"

If it matches then try part number 503204587 which is from the 350 chainsaw. This should be a M5 screw that around 92 mm long socket head screw. I recommend putting small lock washer under the head of the screw as I have had problem these screws working loose on the 350's.

Husqvarna should update their IPLs to include this info on repower kits. Your kit was the 576270003 from I can find.

Hello Eugene, pulled the last bolt and measured. It is a 10mm hex head, 4.468" long, .232" diameter, .895" of threads on the bolt.

Appears to be  M6-1.00 x 110mm, self tapping screw(bolt). There should a grade stamp on the like 8.8 or similar. Your best chance of finding something that will work is you local nut, bolt, and screw warehouse or an online site like Fastenal. Probably won't be a perfect match but anything is better than nothing at the current time.

I called the customer support and they where no help at all what the part number would be. All they could suggest was to buy another kit. Still shaking my head on this comment as it is plain dumb of Dixie Sales which is where I got an email from about the IPL for the kit to suggest this as our only option.

Hello Eugene, no worries man, I work for a Mack/Volvo dealer are I deal with tech support/engineering all the time. I understand your frustration. As luck would have it I was a few county's over and on a whim stopped into the local Husqvarna dealer (Carolina Small Engine). They had a brand new 3120xp on the shelf and it had BOLTS in the muffler!!!!!!! The owner looked up the parts by serial number and had 2 on the shelf! The part number is 579091601. So if it ever runs across you desk again you will have it. Thanks again for your help!

Thanks Kelly I did create stock item here in my inventory system just in case someone else needs the number. I probably won't see one these machine in my small shop but I do help others as a pass along as thanks for all those that have helped me in the past.
