Question:
I have an old Husqvarna 65 and need to change out the sprocket drum. I have determined it is a 3/8 in, 7 tooth spur type. I found a replacement part on Ebay but the replacement part is all one piece. On my original part the rim is removable? Will the replacement work? I will not be able to utilize the rubber washer/o-ring that fits up against the oil pump cover.
Answer
That would be PN 501 20 37-01 which is no longer available. You can sub the rim drive version PN 501255901.
Or you can order the following one off Ebay.

Thanks Eugene for your help.
I have ordered a rim type and also another spur type, both in 3/8 in. I just discovered that the new one I bought last week is a .404. and I'm not sure what chain to get for that. I'll make one of them work. I got my new chain bar teoday an FT 380- 68 .50 gauge. It seems to mount OK. I lost my guide plates though and Husqvarna has quit making them. It's hard to find used ones! I did find a web site written in Slovic that had the 501244201 but I can't read Slovic and they seem to take only Euro's...... LOL
Any ideas where I can get pair of those guide plates? http://demetra.ruf.si/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=931
