I have a new string trimmer and recently inadvertently added gas instead of the 50 to 1 mixture. Now I cannot get the cord to release when I try to crank it. Is there anything I can do to repair this trimmer vs buying a new one?
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. Short of rebuilding the engine there not anything can done. 99% of the time it will need a new piston and cylinder which can be very costly to replace even when you do your own work, Some models can be redone for 50% in parts but by the time you add a shop's labor your better off just buying a new trimmer.
