    Question:
I purchased a zero turn mower in june from Lowes. Last month I began having problems with the blades engaging and the transmission was acting up. I purchased an extended warranty on the mower but it only had 8 hours on it. The repair shop has had it for a month and when I call about it, they say that they cannot proceed with fixing it because of the procedures you are having them go through. I am very disappointed with the way this has been handled. I really did not expect this much trouble from a new piece of equipment. At this point I really do feel that you should replace the mower. I have not been able to cut my yard for a month. This is ridiculous.

The one you should complaining to is Lowes since have their own warranty and service setup. From what I hear they are a real pain to deal with.

Also if it is a GTH2254 XPB it would be a rider and not a ZTR. It would a single transaxle as where a ZTR usually have two.

Thank you for your reply.  I have had a problem in the past with servicing from lowes but the person servicing the mower insists that Husquavarna is the one that is insisting that the transmission  not be replaced.

That is a Z254 and not the H2254 you mention in your first post and it is in deed a zero turn (ZTR).

Sounds like someone at without first hand knowledge of the mower is assuming the tech is wrong or they are wanting them to repair the transaxle which should that manufacture of the transaxle decision since Hunqvarna says they don't support them like they don't support the engines per their warranty statement.

And yes I agree this shouldn't be happening on a new mower and should make the necessary repair without question without balking on it. Just my personal opinion since I don't work for Husqvarna in any capacity other than trying help users here.
