Deck does not engage after bumping.
Details:
I bought a Z254 ztr two days ago. It worked well in cutting thick grass for two days.
However, the deck does not engage after I bumped the front deck of the machine agains a small mount. Then the blades stopped and the deck did not engage. I released the PTO switch and then tried to pull the switch up several time, but it did not work. Even though I restarted the engine, the deck did not engage any more. The blades and belt did not run. It seems to me an emergency stop for protection.
What is the problem? Can I fix it by myself?
Answer
Check that the v-belt is on all the pulleys. If no bind or the v-belt off then the PTO clutch is not operating. Can be simple unplug connector or worst.
