Bought a YTH24V48 mower, used. Man said it was bought 8 1/2 mos. ago at Lowes. The serial number (060115A075525) shows it was made in 2006. Can this be right? He said the warranty is transferable, is that right?

Actually miss reading the serial number. It was made June 01, 2015 if I understand the serial number scheme correctly. If it has a Briggs engine on it, its date code should be fairly close to that. The Briggs date code first digits is the YYMMDD where the Husqvarna is MMDDYY.
As for the warranty I have no idea on that. You need to check with the dealer that sold the mower on that.
