How can I tell what year a lgt2654 was manufactured? I am looking at a used tractor.
Answer
Some can be done the serial number, others can done within about 6 months if original engine by its serial or date code. Would need either one or both. Please these and I see if can decode it for you.

Serial Number 051607B014825
Engine 070305YG18249 (owner claims the engine was replaced a year or so ago. Also this was the only number I found, it was a barcode.)

Lucky using the newer serial scheme.
Okay the mower should be built on May 16, 2007. The engine would be a Briggs built March 05, 2007 so I would think that would be the original engine or an used or rebuilt engine.
