    Question:
I ordered the Husqvarna light kit for my MZ52LE zero turn mower, part number 539 13 23-88. The kit comes with 2 pigtails that plug into prewired connectors on the mower on one end, and have individual connectors on the 2 wires on the other end, into which plug the 2 wires from the headlights. Unfortunately, the instructions don't say which headlight wires plug into which pigtail wires. The pigtails have 1 blue and 1 white wire. The headlights have 1 blue and 1 white wire. I plugged the blue into the blue, and the black into the white. I cranked the mower and starting mowing. It started getting dark, so I turned on the lights and they worked fine, but I noticed that with the lights mounted on the bottom side of the brackets as instructed, they were too low (the light was partially blocked by parts of the mower). I stopped and remounted the lights to the top of the bracket, not changing the wiring at all. When I tried to crank the mower, it blew the 20 amp fuse under the driver's seat. I changed the fuse, and the same think happened. No crank. I disconnected the headlight wiring, and the mower cranked fine.

I am not unique in my complaint, saw the same one on a mower parts website under the reviews. The reviewer had the same problem, then said he finally determined that the black wire was neutral and connected to the light housing, but did not say how he solved the issue. Is it as simple as reversing the wires - headlight blue to pigtail white, and headlight black to pigtail blue?
