    Question:
Have a 7yr old handheld blower, love it never a problem, used all year. All of a sudden it rpm'd fast and fluctuated up and down, then stalled. Tried new gas,it seems that no matter what setting I put it on, choke or not ,it does the same thing.I took everything apart and cleaned carb, put it back together, same results. Could it be air in plunger? I can't seem to get gas to come into vacuum plunger.??? Old plunger or fuel lines?

First if you used chemical carburetor cleaner you probably have already damage the carburetor. These small carburetors have even smaller rubber check valves that are easily destroy using chemical carburetor cleaner. Also pressurized air and wire probing are no nos. They only be safely cleaned in a ultrasonic cleaner using soap and water.

If the primer is a remote type try replacing it. If it still does it afterward then it is the main nozzle check valve that is bad. This assumes that you have correctly reassemble the carburetor.

If it is one that is on the carburetor itself then one it check valves could be bad which would require carburetor replacement if it has been through cleaned.

But this sounds like the main nozzle check valve is bad and if this is the case then carburetor replacement is the only option.
