    Question:
I own a 42" snow thrower attachment (made by Agri-Fab) for my GTH48XLSI tractor. The auger belt continuously comes off, making it useless. It was returned to dealer 5 times for same problem. One time a new belt was put on at my expense. Has there been a recall or service bulletin on this expensive piece of junk? Model # 531307169 (on snow thrower) # LST42E (on owners manual). Serial # 0013041 (on snow thrower). I called customer support - no help. I cannot go through another season having to shovel. PLEASE HELP!!!

I don't anything about snow blowers but I am wondering when when is belt coming off? From the IPL I see there is two different drive belts a 56" and 55". With the mower not having belt retainers on the electric PTO you need to let blower stay manually engaged and use the electric PTO to control it that way there is a constant tension on the drive belt and you may need to use the shorter belt.

The reason I don't know anything about snow blowers where I live (Southeast US) we simply don't get enough snow to justify having them.

Belt is coming off upon engagement.

As you say, when under tension it runs good.

Dealer showed me how to keep auger running continuously, even in reverse, which helped some.

But there are times I need to disengage, for example cleaning the chute of clogged up snow, and when I re-engage the belt pops off and I am stuck shoveling.

      Extremely frustrating!!!

Seems like it was not properly designed?
