    Question:
    Problems with Kohler carbs?

I am in the market for a new rider and I really think Husqvarna is the way to go. I have been getting quotes from several local dealers and one of them told me to stay away from the Kohler engine because of carb problems that Kohler refuses to fix under warranty. This is hard for me to believe, has anyone out there had any carb issues with your Kohler? I think he may have only had B&S powered units in stock and wanted to move them....Help!

I have a yth24k48 it some times loads up on start up but the biggest problem is going down hill it will load up and smoke nearly die have to stop the blade and it will after a while clear up when I cut the thottle back . It also does it on  slight hills to the left.

      It is a float problem.

Also they have cut the size of the air filter down in height. Not good

I hope they get it fixed only have 30 hours on mine.

i have a lawn mower with carb problems. the only thing I have gotten from husqvarna is they will not cover it. just bought it last May and used mower less than ten times! tried to contact kohler and the girl on the phone would not help me and also told me that there was nobody higher up that i could talk to. this is after sears took the mower for the problem for over a month just to inform me that they no longer work on husqvarna mowers. They have a serious problem with these carbs and are simply not addressing it.I did everything the book said and they still blame me for their crappy carb!!!!!!!
