    Question:
The ignition switch on my 455 Rancher does not stop the saw!
    Details:

The ignition switch has two wires, but one has come loose from where it belongs (see picture). I cannot figure out where the wire goes. Is there a part that is missing? I looked at the parts manual and don't see any part for this. I would appreciate a picture of where this wire goes.

It is most uncomfortable to turn the switch off and have the saw keep running, but pulling the choke seems to reliably stop it.

See the following picture. This is your ignition kill wire that slide into the on-off switch. Although the connector is a female version it is use as male version when install female area of the on-off switch. Once installed the metal contact below it makes contact with it as the switch is pushed into off position.

This what it should look like after it is moved.

Got it, thank you. It works fine now, I hope it stays, but if it comes out again, I know how to put it back.
