Snow Blowers

What is the proper setting on the 1830 exlt ( tread Drive ) cable adjuster. The right turn adjuster works just fine, on the other hand the left put simply will not react to any setting I can assist turning left by pulling left on the handle ? Any help will be greatly appreciated
