    Question:
I asked this question about a month ago. After 112 views, nobody has provided an answer yet despite the fact that questions posted on this forum after mine were promptly addressed by the Husqvarna experts.

If the experts on this website truly have 20-25 and even 30 years of experience in the small engine industry they should have no problem answering this question or at least contact someone at Husqvarna Headquarters that can provide an answer.

I bought a new Husqvarna 128LD string trimmer in May. Before starting the engine, I removed the spark plug to check the gap and discovered that the factory-installed spark plug was a Champion RCJ-8Y.

The owner's manual included with the trimmer (Manual # 115374327, Rev. 4, 01/31/2011) specifies to use a Champion RCJ-6Y plug. That's a cooler plug by 2 heat ranges.

Could you please explain why there is a discrepancy in the owner's manual and confirm which plug is the correct one? Thank you.
