String Trimmers

I have a 128cd and purchased a T25 replacement head. Husqvarna name brand and says it fits my model on the packaging. I removed the old head but cannot get the t25 on. The recess iin it doesn't allow me to thread it on. There is another piece that came with it. that piece threads right on but I cannot get that piece to attach to the new head. What am doing wrong?
