Question:
My mower is leaving huge divots torn out of the grass during turns and stops/restarts. I recently bought an MZ-52LE. It was a 2016 that I bought in 2017. My local dealer had a really good price and it gets great reviews. It cuts great and seems very well built. The problem is, it tears up the grass horribly. I understand about letting one wheel stop during turns and making sure both wheels are always moving, but even when I'm careful, it still happens. It also happens when I have to stop and then restart in forward and reverse. I pull/push both handles forward/backwards and you can feel one wheel start to push and the other one hesitates then jumps quickly which tears a divot. I currently have it back at the dealer to check it out. I've noticed other people saying on other forums and in reviews that they have this same issue. Most people believe its poor weight distribution. I've heard of people changing the tires and adding weights which helps but I shouldn't have to spend more money to fix a brand new mower. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time!
