    Question:
I have a Husqvarna HU700L with a manual start Honda GCV 160 engine. While mowing some tall grass I ran over a large stick and it stalled the engine. I restarted the engine and it started making a real ugly noise, then siezed up. The engine is toast. How can I obtain a replacment engine for this mower and do I need any special tools to do the job?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had this experience. But big stick and rocks can really do a number at times.

For a replacement engine you will need to contact your local Honda Engine service center. I do not believe special tools would be required although before replacing the engine I suggest you have the Honda engine dealer inspect the engine as a repair may be a lot less expensive than a replacement engine.

The issue described has to do with the engine manufacturer, in your case it is Honda. Please use the following contact information to find your local Honda dealer.

You may need to contact Honda Engines to find a local dealer as well for an engine related parts and operators manual.
