Riding Lawn Mowers

I have a Z254 that I am troubleshooting forwards speed. I am also trying to adjust racking.

Videos and documentation who a tracking knob on the left control lever. I do not have this knob, just a normal hex nut. I have adjusted this nut outwards and I see gap between it and the chassis, but no change.

I have also noticed that I go much faster in reverse than in forward while blades are engaged and I am not activily cutting. I looked at the tracking bolts and they have the standard Tortise and Hare icons. I also noticed a service access hole on the bacside of the control lever (opposite the tracking bolt). If I adjust these bolts do they also allow the control levers to extend farther forward and provide more speed when going forward?
