Chainsaws

I Purchased a Poulan Pro Model # PP4218AVX chainsaw just under a year ago. It began bogging down when I apply throttle or if I tilt the chainsaw. Then it wouldn’t idle when I let go of the throttle; it shut down. I have used this chainsaw lightly maybe 5 or 6 times since I bought it. In the answers I’ve seen to other questions I do not much helpful into about getting warranties honored. Who determines when warranty applies and will the warranty be honored at any authorized service rep?
