Hello Ric,
Thank you for contacting us at Answer Army. A couple of the Husqvarna trimmers like the LDX models have the edger attachments, but the 128CD does not have this option. Thank you again for your question!
Actually, this answer is not completely true. There are attachments available but they do not have the Husqvarna name.
I recently purchased a Husqvarna 128LD trimmer from Lowe's. On the box (printed by Husqvarna), they state that it will accept attachments. So, I purchased the item, brought it home and went to Husqvarna's website looking for some attachments (mostly an edger) and found that Husqvarna's edger attachment won't work with their trimmer.
After doing some research on the issue I found that my trimmer will accept attachments, just not the Husqvarna brand. Apparently Husqvarna does not want too much business or customer loyalty so they made some of their trimmers different to where you have to go elsewhere for the attachment.
In short, there are attachments but you will have to search other brands than Husqvarna. Here is a link from Husqvarna's site for attachments that will fit the 128CD and 128LD models:

I have read that the string trimemer and edger from the click-it line of attachments spin in the opposite direction when used with the 128LD. First is this true? Second, is it also true of the other attachments, e.g. pole saw and cultivator? Those two would be worthless if the spin in the opposite direction.
That is spot on! The model I bought will take all the attachments Lowes sells!
