    Question:
I recently bought a model HU800HW self propelled walk behind mower. Can anyone tell me if the rear wheel reverse locks can be disengaged? It is nearly impossible to back this machine up. Also why does the rubber safety shield below the rear shoot get caught up under the machine wich makes it nearly impossible to back the machine up.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

Please read the operators manual to familiarize yourself with the operation of the mower. Below is from the operators manual.

Note: If after releasing the drvie control the mower will not roll backwards, push the mower forward slightly to disengage drive wheels.

The rear safety flap is designed to either skim along the grass when pulled back or to tuck under the mower when pulled backwards.

The owner's manual, like nearly all owner's manuals on the planet could be better written (and I just downloaded mine, it wasn't given to me at purchase).
