    Problem:
    The Unit Will Not Start
    Cause:
Cause: improper starting procedure The customer is not following the proper starting procedure as outlined in the operator's manual.
    Steps:

    Starting a Cold Engine:

    • Step 1
Press primer bulb (air purge) 10 times or until fuel begins to fill the bulb and return to the fuel tank.

    • Step 2
Move the choke lever to the closed position.

    • Step 3
Hold the body of the unit on the ground using your left hand (CATION: Not with your foot!).

    • Step 4
Firmly grip the starter handle with your right hand (DO NOT squeeze the throttle trigger as it will reduce the choke to half choke).

    • Step 5
Slowly pull out the cord with the starter handle until you feel some resistance (the starter engaging); then pull the starter handle in a quick yet powerful motion. (NEVER WRAP THE STARTER CORD AROUND YOUR HAND!).

    • Step 6
Repeat Step 5 until the engine attempts to run.

    • Step 7
Move the choke to the half choke position and repeat Step 5 until engine runs, let the unit idle for about 15 seconds (to warm up) then move the choke lever to the open position.

    • Step 8
If the engine dies move the choke to the full choke position and repeat Step 5 until engine runs, let the unit idle for about 15 seconds (to warm up) then move the choke lever to the open position. (CATION Do not pull the starter cord out all the way and do not let go of the starter handle when starter cord is pulled out as this can damage the unit.

A brand new 440E piece of crap won't start, I'm so over this, spend a ton of money on it and end up w/ a piece of junk.  Should have gone w/ a different brand.

I was given a Pouland Pro.It would not start,There is two adjusting screws on the carburaters side.I had two back them out almost two turns. They take a special wrench but you can take a red crimp connector and tap it down over the screw and start adjusting from there. One is marked L for Low and the other for high.you will have to play with the adjustment a little so its not bogging when given gas. This works out real nice. You will also have to adjust the idle screw on the linkage for the cable to get it to idle at correct RPMs..Engine must be warmed up to get correct adjustment.Takes a little while but works.I got this of of U Tube and it worked great for me.Good Luck.
